While all symptoms are different, there are a few key ways that you can deal with your anxiety. Try a few of these out and see what works for you and your triggers.

1. Slow Down your Breathe

When you’re nervous, you start to breathe rapidly. This rapid breathing gets other things in your body to speed up, including your heart. Though it may seem difficult if you’re anxious, stop and breathe deeply and slowly. Try to count 5 to 6 times in and 5 to 6 times out, making your breath longer and deeper each time.

2. Close your Eyes

When you feel like you’re getting nervous and feel an anxiety attack coming on, it helps to close your eyes and be in the present. Taking a second to get in touch with yourself and change your mindset, you can overcome your anxiety and get back to living a normal life.

3. Move Around

If you’re feeling anxious while in a crowded room or while sitting in an office, get up and take a walk. Sometimes, it’s effective to get moving, getting a flow of healthy oxygen pumping through the body. When you do, you’ll feel better than ever and beat your anxiety every time.

Ranking your Symptoms

Over time, you may realize that there are certain things that trigger your anxiety. Additionally, you’ll see that your anxiety may come in waves and may be worse depending on the circumstances. Though it can be a challenge, try and find what triggered your anxiety and whether or not it was mild or severe.

Once you start noticing a pattern, you can take steps to deal with your anxiety or talk to your primary healthcare provider.
